Mayroong 65.7 milyong Pilipino sa Pilipinas ang nakarehistro upang bumoto at 1.8 milyon naman ang nakarehistro sa ibang bansa.Ang mga politiko ay nagpapaligsahan at lumalaban para sa 18,180 na elektibong posisyon sa nasyonal at lokal na halalan. Mayroong 77 na pwesto sa nasyonal at 18,103 naman para sa lokal.
